Carriage by Road

Road transport is generally cheaper than rails for both passengers and goods, although rails is cheaper for such bulk commodities as oil, sand and timber . The most important features of road transport are :

Ease with which it adapts itself to different situations and the fact that a direct delivery service is provided.

Safer for fragile goods and calls for simpler packing than for goods sent by rail.

Brief story of Myanmar Transportation

In the world there are four modes of transportation which have both strong and weakness they are land transportation ,Air Transportation, Water Transportation and Pipelines .Out of the land transportation, vehicles using transportation is interesting because it can transport the commodity to the desired place no matter their destination to the mountain into the field ,along the river or in the narrow streets.
It can be compared to the human body, transportation network which can be regarded as veins in the body are connecting among the various regions.

Ancient Time

We have learnt that history of transport in Myanmar started in the regions of Moe Kaung –Phar Kant and Moe Kout –Tha Pate Kyin .Before
the Christ around 206 BC business of mining to search Payin by the Chinese and Chin tribes existed near Moe Kaung . In the later centuries Jade and Ruby were found and trade basic mainly on jewelleries established and path of the craft merchant routes and basic transportation path were established. 

Colonial period to present

In 1894 British Government began to establish Public works Department and start Road Constriction using Modern Technique .In the second World War British and Aligned forces are extended road in the area of India- Myanmar-Yu Nan and extended the road in the Myanmar –Thai broad .It is found that total length of road is increased to kilometer 23779 in year 2003. In the South East Asia , after Indonesia, Myanmar is second largest country in regard to land area and the area is connecting with the border of five neighboring countries .For Myanmar ,it is a time of trying to be a nation of developed and modernized with the peace and tranquility.
